While there is no official award presented, the Triple Crown of Motorsport is widely regarded as the highest achievement in auto racing. McLaren, as a chassis manufacturer, achieved its Triple Crown in 1995. They earned their first jewel of the Triple Crown with Johnny Rutherford’s Indianapolis 500 win in 1974, their second with Alain Prost’s 1984 Monaco Grand Prix victory, and their third at 24 Hours of Le Mans after JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas, and Masanori Sekiya won in the McLaren F1 GTR.
